Parasite

"Act like you own the place".

Parasite (Bong-Joon Ho, 2019) has been one of my greatest discoveries of this year. Actually, I watched it some months ago (although that didn't stop me from spending my money on watching it again. Twice more, in fact), but I couldn't not comment on it. The movie tells the story of the Kims, a South Korean low class family and their attempt of social climbing at the expense of the Park family. With perfect, in my view, amount of black humor, Bong-Joon Ho makes a social critique understandable for every type of spectator, providing a more realistic view of the Eastern country than K-Dramas (Korean Dramas), the South Korean audio-visual product most most consumed in the West by the average audience. With an engaging story from its beginning to its end, this movie scores itself among the greatest masterpieces of the decade. Apart from still being projected in theaters, it will be available in DVD, Bluray and FilmIn on February 14th, so stay tuned!

Punctuation: 10/10 (Please, watch it).
