Children of the sea: "A psychedelic adventure"

Children of the sea (Ayumu Watanabe, 2019) is the last anime movie to be projected in the Spanish theaters. I went to watch it with little information; I didn't really understand the trailer, and the sinopsis I found hardly provided any relevant data regarding its plot. Right now, after having watched it, I understand that almost complete lack of information. I got the director's final goal, but I didn't understand the "body" of the story; I don't know if it is because its background is too dense or because what he wanted to say is not correctly conveyed but, seriously, I don't understand what certain elements have to do with the movie. On the other hand, it's visually incredible, as the last Japanese animation productions brought to the Spanish theaters. A bright color palette and a high quality animation. Regarding the OST, it's simply magnificent; in fact, one of its strongest points. Don't expect me to punctuate it, because I have virtually no idea whether I liked it or not, but still, I recommend you to watch, if only to see if somebody understands it fully.
